New York Fashion Week Fall-Winter 2012 just ended a few days ago and I am eager to write about the shows from the design of the pieces to the entire collection. This is because every piece of the collection was at once astonishing, alluring and breath taking.
When it comes to fall and winter, all I think about is fur, leather and coats, fur and leather being my favourite materials of all time. What's not to adore when there are designers like BCBG Max Azria, Jenny Packham, Whitney Eve, Lela Rose, Ralph Lauren, Carolina Herrera and Michael Kors showing throughout the week.
These are my favourite Top 5 Shows of NYFW Fall-Winter 2012.

I like how the collection geared more towards the sporty and casual. I must say it’s something different. Loving the golden brown blazer (#1) and trousers (#3), a unique colour that managed to brighten up the entire outfits.

What caught my eyes the first time I saw the collection were the boater hats. It had a vintage style, and felt like it came from a more dressed up time. A little sequin on the bolero, paired with a long formal dress - can this be any more stylish?

Oh Jenny Packham. I was literally in a state of joy and excitement when I found out that Packham was one of the designers for NYFW 2012. Her collection truly defined her as a master of evening and party wear. She became one of my favourite designers when I first saw her Spring-Summer collection last year. This time round, she captured my heart all over again. Her designs were filled with a sense of elegance and glamour. Every single piece was breath taking. I agreed when Hannah Elliot from Forbes said "Jenny Packham Does It Again." Sometimes a piece is just too perfect to even pen in words.

A show that almost made my heart stop for a second. For me, Donna Karan doubtlessly managed to create a collection that 100% fit the criteria of Fall-Winter. Every piece just stood out..

It’s always good to leave the best for the last, yes? I am sure there’s no need to introduce you to the famous Mr Michael Kors. It was just such an exquisite collection. All I have to say is that the Michael Kors's show won my heart among all the shows. Watching the models showcase one outfit after another, it was love at first sight for every single look. I loved the fluffy furs, I loved the sequined dresses. I love the whole Fall-Winter collection.
